Recruiting: Thomas Enjoys OSU Visit

Devin Thomas, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound wide receiver with about 80 catches this season for Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College, liked what he saw on his official visit to Oklahoma State this past weekend.

Thomas is the leading receiver for the Red Ravens, who won the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 6 championship with a 33-12 victory over Dodge City on Nov. 6. The Red Ravens, 9-2, are expecting to hear Monday what bowl game they will be playing in next month.

The Coffeyville receiver enjoyed watching Oklahoma State's upset of 13th-ranked Texas Tech on Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium. "It was a great atmosphere," Thomas said. "They played real well and made the plays to win at the end. I could tell they're a young team. From what I could see, and have been told, they could use a few more playmakers to be effective in the offense they run."

Thomas, whose hometown is Canton, Mich., will also visit Michigan State (next weekend) and Arkansas (Dec. 2). The second-team All-Jayhawk Conference player will graduate in December, plans to sign on junior college signing date Dec. 18, and be on campus for the spring semester at either OSU, Michigan State or Arkansas.
