Cowboys Advance To Las Vegas Title Game

Junior college transfer Torre Johnson scored 15 points, including a slam dunk with 12 seconds remaining to clinch the win, as Oklahoma State advanced to Saturday night's championship game of the Las Vegas Holiday Invitational with a 66-58 victory over Texas Christian on Friday evening at Valley High School in Las Vegas.

The Cowboys, now 4-0, will face 10th-ranked Boston College at 9:30 p.m. Saturday night (Central time) for the tournament title. Boston College, 4-0, advanced to the title game with an 87-84 win over Drake on Saturday.

Oklahoma State went on a 14-0 run midway through the first half to take what appeared to be a safe 13-point lead. But the Horned Frogs cut the lead to 37-30 at halftime, and then pulled within one point on two different occasions in the second half but could never overtake the Cowboys.
