Recruiting: Brown High On Cowboy Visit

Running back Preston Brown of Antioch, Tenn., says he thinks he knows where he is going but doesn't want to say anything just yet. He is waiting for an in-home visit from the Oklahoma State coaches so they can sit down with his brother and sister. He also has a visit set to Kentucky in two weeks (Dec. 16). However, he said his visit this past weekend to Oklahoma State was "very good."

"It was very good," Brown said of the visit, speaking just 30 minutes after getting home. "I liked it a lot. Everything was good. The people are cool and are down to earth. Everybody knows everybody, or at least they act like they do. My host was Tevin Williams and being from Stillwater I think he did know everybody."

Brown missed three games this season, but the 5-10, 175-pound speedster (4.4) still rushed for 1,450 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also saw duty on defense and had two interceptions. He said one thing he noticed about Oklahoma State will help him a lot.

"There isn't a whole lot to do and that will help me focus on my academics and my football," continued Brown. "We did go to a basketball game and that was tight. I really like that Cowboy mascot, he's tight too."

Brown said he thought he would be ready to announce a commitment sometime before Christmas.
