Recruiting: Williams Weighs In On Proximity

It's an intersting study in recruiting to see what certain prospects like about the schools they visit. One aspect of Oklahoma State that Longview, Texas offensive lineman Trent Williams pointed out was how close everything is. Williams was making his second official visit this weekend and was able to compare his first two schools in that area.

"At LSU things were spread a part and you had to walk across campus, but at OSU it was all right there," said the 6-5, 290-pound likely offensive tackle.

That wasn't all Williams liked about his visit to OSU and he said his previous trip to LSU "went okay" as well.

"My host was Brandon Pettigrew," Williams said of his fellow East Texan. "We went to the basketball game and I really liked just hanging with the players and playing games. I liked it overall. Coach Wick (Joe Wickline) is my recruiting coach and I had a chance to talk with Coach (Mike) Gundy (head coach). I like him. He's down to earth and tells you the truth."

Williams said he thought he would take all of his visits. He's scheduled to visit Oklahoma next weekend, Texas A&M (Dec. 16) and Arkansas (Jan. 6).
