Recruiting: LaRon Moore Looking Out Of State

LaRon Moore told us that we called him just after Texas Tech coaches Seth Littrell and Dave Brown left following an in-home visit. The all-purpose athlete from Midwest City, Okla., who can play wide receiver, running back or cornerback said Texas Tech is on his list. He visited the Red Raiders on Nov. 4. Moore has also made an official visit to Notre Dame in October.

"Right now I would have to say Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Missouri, LSU, Kansas, and maybe OSU would be my top schools," said Moore. "I don't have any other visits set up but I would like to see Stanford and get up to Oregon and maybe Missouri."

That's a big spread and it is funny that Moore doesn't list Stanford and Oregon among his favorites but does show interest in visiting. Moore said he mainly hears by phone from Mike Gundy at Oklahoma State, but also said he has heard from defensive coordinator Vance Bedford. The question comes up as to whether Moore cares which side of the ball a school is recruiting him to play on.

"Not really," said Moore. "I just want to get on the field for whatever school I go to. I just want to play."

It will be interesting to see what goes on with Moore the rest of the way in recruiting.
