Recruiting: Garrin To Visit OSU On Jan. 13

Linebacker Fred Garrin of Shepherd, Texas, can no longer be classified as a sleeper. The 6-2, 217-pound outside linebacker prospect runs a 4.6 and is not at all shy about making plays. He is a no nonsense guy who loves to hit. Garrin said he did not make an originally scheduled visit last weekend to Arkansas and the Hogs are off the itinerary.

"I didn't go to Arkansas and I am not going to visit there," said Garrin. "In fact, I have rearranged all my visits. I want to take all five visits and this is a way I could do it and get to all the schools that I am interested in."

Garrin's schedule now reads this way: Iowa State, Dec. 9; SMU, Jan. 6; Oklahoma State, Jan. 13; Arizona, Jan. 20; and Tulane on Jan. 27 as he expects to take it up to the final week.

"I'm going to each school to check out the academics and how the counselors interact with the players and what kind of support they give them," said Garrin. "I want to see what kind of football team each school has, check out the town, and see how the players get along."
