Recruiting: We Found Him, Keith Toston

Now admit it, you've wanted to know what is going on with Angleton, Texas running back Keith Toston. So have we. We finally found him on Wednesday night and he answered his phone. "I'm sorry, but I've been busy with basketball and football recruiting with coaches and everything," said Toston.

OK, we'll bite, how's basketball?

"My team is off to a 10-0 start," said Toston. "I'm playing shooting guard and averaging 15 points a game."

Toston is used to double figures as he averaged that on the football field this season for Angleton. Toston finished his senior season averaging 10 yards per carry. He had a total of 1,564 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Alright, now how about recruiting?

"I'm taking my first visit to Oklahoma State this weekend," said the 6-1, 195-pounder with 4.4 speed. "I really like their coaches and they have a good chance to get me."

There's more, much more.

"The next week I visit TCU (Dec. 16) and like them a lot too, and I have a good chance to play there right away. In January my first visit is to Nebraska and I have a chance to play quickly there too. They throw the ball a lot to their backs.

"On Jan. 13 I go to Texas A&M. They are recruiting me on both offense and defense, either running back or free safety. Then on Jan. 20 I am going to visit either LSU or Arkansas and both those schools are recruiting me to play running back," finished Toston of his visit itinerary.

"I really don't have a clear leader right now because I want to take my visits," explained Toston. "I'm looking to study kinesiology or sports management, maybe communications or look into being a college coach."

Toston has a busy schedule, on and off the court.
