Recruiting: Cox Deciding Between OSU, LSU?

Texas wide receiver/cornerback Perrish Cox (6-0, 170, 4.45) has narrowed it down to four schools, but says that his top two (Oklahoma State and LSU) have a big lead.

In fact, Cox just took an official visit to Oklahoma State on December 2. "I love the coaches and the players," Cox said. "They all showed me a lot of love and I like how tight they all are. They talked to me like I was already one of their players and on the team. It was great. I also really like the black and orange and was impressed with the campus. It's really nice and clean. They take good care of it."

The Cowboys head coach, Mike Gundy, visited Cox at home yesterday. "He said that I'd be able to come in and make a difference early. He also told me that I'm the type of player they like."

Cox, from University High School in Waco, will be taking his final visit to LSU this weekend. He already visited Nebraska on September 16 and Oklahoma on September 30. "I really like the Nebraska coaches," Cox said. "They spend a lot of time with their players and are more like a family than anybody else."

Despite visiting the Sooners, Cox no longer has them as a favorite. "They are still recruiting me, but not as much as the others. Plus, Oklahoma State and LSU have made more of an impact on me. I want to make my decision soon," Cox said. "After I get back from LSU, I'm gonna sit down with my parents and go through all the schools and all the stuff I liked and didn't like."

He reports a 2.5 GPA and a 15 ACT.
