Recruiting: Anderson Leaning Toward OSU

Terrance Anderson said he wasn't going to make a decision as to his school choice public until Christmas Day, which is why we've nicknamed the Aldine, Texas athlete "Mr. Christmas" or "Santa Recruit". However, Anderson told us Sunday night that he does now have a clear favorite.

"I'm still not announcing until Christmas, but it might come a little earlier," said Anderson. "Oklahoma State is my favorite right now and the way things are looking it will be Oklahoma State."

So what made for the change since Thursday when Anderson said Oklahoma State and Oklahoma were even?

"I saw where Oklahoma's offensive coordinator was leaving for a head coaching job," Anderson said talking about OU offensive coordinator Chuck Long taking the San Diego State head coaching position. "Any type of coaching change makes a difference."

The reason any change would make a difference, according to Anderson, is that both schools have told Anderson, who is perhaps the fastest recruiting prospect in all of Texas, that he could play on both sides of the ball. Anderson said he really likes the idea of playing in the secondary (corner) and also playing some at wide receiver.

Anderson said he would give us a call when the decision is made whether it does end up being Christmas or earlier.
