Recruiting: McKinney Has A Good Visit

Sometimes it is easy to forget about the prospects that commit before going on their official visit, or the prospects that have been committed for a long time. Putnam City North offensive lineman Myron McKinney is hard to forget because of his personality, and also the way he moves defensive linemen out of the way. The Oklahoma All-Stater made his official visit this weekend and had these observations.

"It was good," McKinney said with the standard opening line for most recruits on how a visit went. "There were some things that I learned in academics that excited me. Also, the projects that they are going to complete with all that money that was donated (by Boone Pickens) are pretty exciting too. Just to be around here and be a part of all that is going to be good."

McKinney was shown around by fellow offensive lineman Corey Hilliard, and the food on the visit seemed to agree with McKinney.

McKinney has already been and will continue to be very involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is good friends with FCA North Oklahoma Director John Talley.
