Recruiting: Savage Adds Visit To Where?

Gulf Coast J.C. running back Dantrell Savage was at a Gulf Coast basketball game when we caught up with him on Monday night. The talented and speedy running back is making the most of his recruiting despite being verbally committed to Oklahoma State. He went on one visit this past weekend and has another scheduled to Southern Miss on Jan. 27. Tonight he told us that he has added yet another visit.

"Harvard," said the 5-11, 185-pounder with a little bit of a laugh matching ours. "I know people don't believe me when I tell them."

Ivy League?

"Yes sir," responded Savage. "I have to talk to the coach but we've talked about me going up there for a visit this coming weekend."

It's enough I'm sure to make the Oklahoma State coaches nervous about that commitment, but Savage said he is staying in touch with the OSU coaches and keeping them informed of his travels.

"My visit to Troy was pretty good," Savage said of the school that he originally signed with out of high school. "It was pretty nice down there."

However, the big question was has anything changed?

"No, I'm still committed to Oklahoma State," Savage said again with a chuckle. "I'm going to be a Cowboy."

That still may not keep OSU fans from being a little nervous until Savage unpacks for good.
