Women's Hoops: Budke Signs Two All-Americans

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State Cowgirls head coach Kurt Budke and his staff are leaning hard on a recruiting tie with Central Arizona Junior College, and why not? Central Arizona has been loaded with talent and they are winners having finished 34-1 this past season tied for third in the country. Both of the players that Budke signed are NJCAA All-Americans. Danielle Green is a combo guard and Maria Cordero is a post player.

Green is a 5-9 guard originally out of Honhenfels High School in Philadelphia, Pa., who averaged right at 19 points a game and also posted seven assists and 8.5 rebounds a contest. Her near triple-double stats and he overall performance earned her second team All-American honors.

Cordero, originally out of Santa Barbara, Calif., is a 6-3 post player with a nice shooting touch and the ability to run the floor. This past season she averaged right at 15 points and 8.5 rebounds a game in earning honorable mention All-American honors.

Both Green and Cordero were named to the National All-Tournament team at the NJCAA Division I Championships.
