Recruiting: Blue A Possibility In Secondary

Cedar Hill High School in Texas is loaded this upcoming season with college football prospects and one of those prospects climbing the recruiting charts is cornerback Anthony Blue. The 5-11, 185-pound Blue said he has improved on his 40-yard dash time with a best of 4.47 seconds. Last season he had two interceptions for the Longhorns.

"After last season I didn't think I would get much attention and some of my teammates were already starting to get stuff in the mail, but then all of a sudden I started getting stuff and it came in bunches," Blue said of the attention he is getting. "Baylor, Florida, Oklahoma State, Louisiana Tech, Houston, Colorado State, Tulane, TCU, and others."

Blue said he wanted to go to Texas A&M on an unofficial visit, but had to scratch it because he wanted to go on the same day that A&M was hosting the Nike Combine. He qualified for the state track meet and finished eighth in the 200 meters. This summer he plans to run summer track in the open 100 and 200 meters. In between he said he will attend camp in California at UCLA, and locally at TCU and SMU.

"I'm the kind of player that does exactly what the coach instructs me to do," Blue said when asked to describe himself as a player. "Fast and fearless, that's me."
