Two days after helping the Cowboys to their 10th NCAA team title and becoming the eighth individual medalist in school history at the event, redshirt freshman Jonathan Moore defeated sophomore teammate Pablo Martin on their first play playoff hole gain his spot. The duo carded matching rounds of 70 and 67 before Moore birdied the extra hole at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Ore., to garner the site's lone qualifying spot.
Martin will be one of two alternates from the location.
Cowboy junior Ryan Posey also earned a spot after posting rounds of 65 and 71 at Houston's Lakeside Country Club. He claimed one of two qualifying spots from the Houston sectional, tying Ryan Baca atop the leaderboard.
