Recruiting: Blatnick Checks Out OSU Campus

The unofficial visitors just keep coming for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and offensive and defensive lineman Jamie Blatnick of Celina, Texas, and his mother, Sherry, were in Stillwater to check out the Cowboys on Monday.

Blatnick is a 6-3, 250-pound athletic lineman who has a best time of 4.8 in the 40-yard dash. Blatnick is also an outstanding student that wants to someday go to medical school. He scored a 1580 on the SAT without a calculator.

As for his trip to Oklahoma State, Blatnick was impressed.

"It was great," Blatnick started talking from his home after returning. "The coaches and the staff are cool. They let me see everything, all the plans they have for the University. It's awesome. They know the direction they are going there."

Blatnick, who had 72 pancake blocks last season on offense and said he would be playing primarily offense this season as a senior, has a bench press max of 385 pounds and a squat max of 485 pounds. He added that he has been offered scholarships by Duke, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and TCU.

"I'm going to be making some trips to those other schools that I mentioned," he said on his direction in recruiting. "I want to see those colleges and and see what they have going on. Then I want to decide before my senior year begins."

He advised us to check with him sometime the first week of August to see how the process is going and if he has come to a decision.
