Recruiting: Ryan Broyles Up To 11 Offers

Every year there are one or two guys who are just simply fun to talk to on the phone and cornerback Ryan Broyles of Norman, Okla., is one of them. The 6-0, 180-pound speedster validated his talents in the spring when he was the Defensive MVP at the Nike Combine at Texas A&M. He told me he is now up to 11 offers.

"South Carolina just offered a couple of days ago," said Broyles. "That is really the only thing that has happened lately. I haven't had much time to go check out schools because I've been working out and getting ready for football."

Broyles also has offers from the likes of Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Iowa State and Kansas. He has only visited Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.

"I realize there are more offers coming and I want to be fair to every school," explained Broyles, saying he has not narrowed his list down as of yet. "There is pressure, but I want to take my official visits and that will probably come after the season."

Broyles, who had five interceptions last season, is also a standout basketball player. He skipped all the hoops this summer and trips to the big summer tournaments to concentrate on football. He has said that football will be his sport of choice in college.

Schools are going to have to likely wait on him to finish up what could be a really strong season for the Norman Tigers, but Broyles is worth the wait.
