Richetti Jones: It's Oklahoma State!

Just as we expected, defensive end Richetti Jones of Dallas (Lincoln), Texas, announced Sunday night on Fox Sports Southwest's Big 12 Postgame Show that he is committed to Oklahoma State. The 6-4, 240-pound defensive end, one of the top ranked prospects in the nation, told John Rhadigan and Pat Jones that he will not take any other visits and he is 100 percent committed to the Cowboys.

"You know I want to play Big 12 ball, so Florida you will not have Richetti Jones," he said in the first person as he made his decision by placing and X with an in studio telestrator over the finalists he was eliminating. "Oklahoma or Oklahoma State, a tough decision. Which one would you choose? Sorry Oklahoma. Oklahoma State. Richetti Jones is officially now a Cowboy. It is a solid decision. I will take no other visits. Oklahoma State is the place for me."

Jones is the 27th ranked prospect in the country, according to The Sporting News School Sports. He is also a top 100 national player by virtually every recruiting service around. He was recently tabbed to play in the U.S. Army All-American Game next January in San Antonio, Texas.

Jones has been starting at Lincoln since he was a freshman. As a sophomore he had 75 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, and 25 sacks. Last season he had 73 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss, and 16 sacks. He is a standout defensive end with the speed to play linebacker. He is brutal for opposing offensive tackles, backs on the pass pickup, and quarterbacks to deal with.
