Recruiting: Green Still Getting Calls

Offensive line prospect William (Courtney) Green of Corsciana, Texas, was a priority with a number of schools before he made a late summer pledge to Baylor. The 6-5, 300-pounder said he is still committed to Baylor and will make his first unofficial to see a game this weekend when the Bears host Kansas. However, like many other verbal commitments, Green is still hearing from coaches and schools.

"Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, some Missouri, and TCU," Green said of the schools that still know his telephone number. "it's flattering that they are still interested, but like I told Coach McMillian at TCU tonight and Coach Wickline at Oklahoma State, I don't mind speaking to them, but until I change my mind I am staying with Baylor."

Green said he has followed Baylor and has been excited that they have been playing better. He said he still gets lots of letters from Baylor and from other schools.

Corsicana got off to a rough start and they are 2-5 overall and 2-1 in district.

"We are getting it going now," said Green. "We have Arlington Seguin this week and we are still in the district race. I think I have been playing and going good."

Green has stayed healthy and feels like the Tigers' best football is ahead the next three weeks of the season.
