"I talked with the coach tonight and we've decided that we will come in for the visit in December, probably two weeks before the bowl game," said the 6-4, 315-pound Fili. "I'm a little disappointed because I wanted to see a game atmosphere, game day and the walk, but the coaches believe that by coming later there will be more time to spend with the coaches, the players, and for my parents to see everything they need to see. I understand."
One of the top defensive tackle prospects in the nation, he was at Oklahoma State for the spring game and said he was impressed with that. He also attended the three-day OSU camp along with a bunch of his Cottonwood teammates, so he has seen a lot of the school. Now he wants his parents to experience it.
Fili has a game Thursday night as Cottonwood takes on Granger High School. Fili said he continues to play well and has stayed completely healthy this season.
Fili said he continues to have Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon and Tennessee as his list of schools. He made an official visit to Oregon last week.
"It was really good, I had fun out there," said Fili. Asked where the visit put Oregon, he said, "I still like Oklahoma State and I'm talking Oklahoma State the most."
