OSU-A&M Notes: More Than 50 Prospects On Hand

STILLWATER - There were more than 50 recruiting prospects on hand Saturday night for the homecoming contest with Texas A&M. There were no official visitors as Salt Lake City (Cottonwood) defensive tackle Simi Fili rescheduled his official visit for December. All of the prospects in Stillwater on Saturday were there on unofficial visits.

There were two committed players making the trip to watch the Cowboys in Celina, Texas, lineman Jamie Blatnick and recent commitment and standout athlete Josh Cooper out of Mustang, Okla. Cooper, who committed almost two weeks ago, is one of the top wide receivers in Oklahoma and reminds many of Wes Welker.

The list also included several prominent recruits like Oklahoma City (Millwood) athlete Gerald Jones. Jones is the top prospect in Oklahoma. Right there with him is Norman wide receiver and defensive back Ryan Broyles. Broyles was in attendance with teammates Chika Madu (junior WR/LB), Sam Woodfork (OL/DL), and Micah Churchill (WR/DB).

Also from in state were Tulsa (Washington) standout running back Michael Harris. Harris is one of the top running backs in Oklahoma. Midwest City wide receiver Hezdekiah Robinson, Midwest City (Carl Albert) quarterback Joe Stoner and running back David Oku, and Oklahoma City (Northeat) defensive back Ishmael Underdown rounds out the top Oklahoma prospects on hand.

Prospects from Texas included a player very high on the Cowboys list in Curenski Gilleylen, a standout athlete that is 6-3, 200 pounds out of Leander, Texas. Anoher top Texan is Richardson (Berkner) defensive lineman Adrian Campbell. Others included Angleton wide receiver/defensive back Jeremy Toston, younger brother of Cowboy freshman Keith Toston. Offensive lineman Sam Chemlar was there from Ennis, Texas. Still others included tight end Brian Heis out Kingwood, wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe out of Cedar Hill, defensive lineman DeMarcus Lattier, and wide receiver Joe Anderson out of Texarana.
