Recruiting: Rush To Visit This Weekend

Standout offensive lineman Jonathan Rush of Killeen, Texas, was one of Oklahoma State's early commitments and he is looking forward to checking out the school he pledged to again this upcoming weekend. Before that trip, he has an important date on Friday with his Killeen teammates against the eighth-ranked Waco Lions.

"The season has been going good," said Rush. "It's been fun, but we haven't played up to our potential as a team. It'll be tough for us to make the playoffs. We either have to beat the number eight team in Waco this Friday or beat the number three team Copperas Cove."

As a senior the 6-4 1/2, 270-pound Rush has been a team player.

"I've been playing pretty good," said Rush. "I've had some young guys playing next to me so I've had to pull some extra weight."

His official visit to Oklahoma State was timed for this weekend so his father could be with him. Rush's dad is retired military that now works for a contractor and has been overseas in Iraq.

"It's great that he is at home and will take me up on the visit," added Rush, who said he has stayed fully committed to Oklahoma State since making his decision this past summer.
