Recruiting: Youman Will Take All His Visits

Oklahoma State is looking to add a tight end to its recruiting class and their top prospect is St. Martinsville, La., product Wilson Youman. Youman is getting a little bit of a late start in his recruiting as he preferred to concentrate this fall on his senior season. The 19th-ranked prospect in Louisiana, according to SuperPrep, Youman made his first visit last weekend to Southern Miss.

"It went good," said the 6-5, 240-pound tight end. "I enjoyed myself and had fun with all the players. It was my first visit so I got an idea of what the visits are like."

Youman said Oklahoma State assistant Doug Meacham was in to visit him on Monday, and then Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss coaches were in the school on Wednesday.

"I'm enjoying recruiting now and I plan on taking all my visits," said Youman. The rest are scheduled in January. I have Louisiana Tech on the 5th, Oklahoma State on the 12th, and Tulane on the 20th. I don't have a fifth visit right now, but I think it will be the University of Houston or I'll schedule ULL (Louisiana-Lafayette)."

Youman, who played both tight end and defensive end this season and has good speed for his size (4.8), said he will also play basketball in January when the district games start for St. Martinsville.
