Recruiting: Glover Gives His Visit High Marks

Linebacker Jared Glover of Bixby, Okla., was one of several recruits that made an official visit this weekend to Oklahoma State having already committed, but according to the 6-4 1/2, 220-pound All-Stater and All-American it was a good as he expected, and in some areas even better.

"It seemed like everybody was having a good time," said Glover. "I know the weather wasn't the greatest and I hope the out-of-state guys realize this isn't the normal weather here. It's weird for us to have snow on the ground for that long.

"My host was linebacker Seb Clements and we got to go to the wrestling dual (vs. Iowa) on Friday night," Glover continued of his description of the weekend. "The coaches were as good as they have been all along. We toured everything involved in the football facilities and got a look at what is going to be built soon. We toured the apartments and I was very impressed. The apartment I will live in is as nice, nicer than I have seen at any of the campuses I have visited. I was really happy with that. We toured the academics and met with Marilyn Middlebrook and Terry Henley. Academics is going to be great. It was everything I expected and then some."

Glover said he had a chance to meet athletic director Mike Holder, and that his parents had dinner with Holder on Saturday night.

All in all, it was a further convincing experience for Glover, who at one time was committed to Nebraska but changed his commitment in December to Oklahoma State.
