Recruiting: Hunter Can't Quit Talking OSU

Running back Kendall Hunter of Tyler (John Tyler), Texas, is normally kind of a quiet guy, but when we reached him at home after he was back from his official visit to the school he has committed to, Oklahoma State, he wouldn't stop talking.

"Yes sir, it went great," said Hunter. "John Johnson showed me around and everything was so organized and the people were so friendly and helpful. It was more than I could ask for. I was done with recruiting last week when I committed because I had been up here in the summer and knew that I liked it. Coming back I know I made the right decision.

"The football stadium, ooooh that is a nice place to play and the facilities they are building are like nobody else has anywhere."

Hunter is 5-8, 182 pounds with speed and moves to be a home run threat in the Oklahoma State offense. He accumulated over 3,200 all-purpose yards at John Tyler. This season rushed for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns with 29 receptions for 429 yards and 5 touchdowns. He said he also had a chacne to talk football with his future position coach.

"Coach (Curtis) Luper showed me the highlight tape and that conversation went real good too," said Hunter. "Everybody was nice and the students are so into it. Oklahoma State is a great place for me to be."
