Spring Practice Scheduled to Begin March 5

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will take the field for the first time since the 34-31 win over Alabama in the PetroSun Independence Bowl on Monday, March 5, when they begin spring football practice for 2007. The NCAA allows for 15 practices in the spring with a limited number of full contact practices (nine) and scrimmages (three).

Spring break will separate spring practice into two segments. The Cowboys are scheduled to practice six times prior to the start of spring break on March 19. The team will return from the break to conduct the final nine practices including the annual Orange-White Game on Saturday, April 14. Practices are tentively scheduled and dates and times are subject to change.

The Cowboys will return eight offensive starters, seven defensive starters, and all four specialists for the spring and the 2007 season in the fall.
