Recruiting: Broyles Likes What He Sees

Ryan Broyles, an All-American and the SuperPrep Midlands Defensive Player of the Year from Norman, Okla., had been to Stillwater and the OSU campus countless times on unofficial visits before he gave the Cowboys his verbal commitment a couple of weeks ago. But he wanted to experience one thing on his official visit; he wanted to see how he got along with his prospective future teammates.

"It went pretty good. Keith Toston showed me around," said Broyles. "I got to hang out with the players and that is what I wanted to do. It was pretty cool and I found out that they were all pretty cool."

Broyles said the basketball game Saturday night wasn't even new for him as he had been to several basketball games last season. "It is good," said Broyles. "I like going to the basketball games."

Broyles also was around to meet some of his incoming teammates. "That was cool too, Dez Bryant (the wide receiver from Luftkin, Texas) and a couple of other guys committed," said Broyles. "One of them was that Arkansas running back (Adrian Moore) and there may have been five that committed. I didn't know them all, but I will.

"Academics was good," added the 6-0, 180-pound speedy athlete who earned unanimous All-State honors. "I went to business because I had been to communications before. I wanted to see what business had to offer."

So where does this leave Broyles? "Definitely committed," he said.
