Recruiting: Broyles Needs Time

The report across the Internet recruiting landscape Monday morning was that Norman, Okla., standout skill athlete Ryan Broyles had changed his commitment from Oklahoma State to Oklahoma. Go Pokes Magazine spoke with Broyles' father, Edward Moore, and asked him to simply confirm the story on Monday afternoon.

"That's not the case," said Mr. Moore of his son's switch to the Sooners. "Ryan is confused right now and is not sure what he is going to do. He is needing some time to think things out."

This is not unusual and it happens every year. Making a decision in recruiting can be a very tense and unnerving experience. It is not about who gets a player, but it's about the player and his family making the best decision for his future. Right now the Moore family is trying to decide what that decision is for Ryan.

Mr. Moore was kind enough to take our phone number and told us he or Ryan will let us know when the decision is made. As per our policy we will not contact Ryan or his family, but instead let them contact us.

On our site we will list Ryan on the OSU commitment list, but with the asterisk symbolizing that it is soft or wavering.
