Recruiting: Cowboys Target Co-Eric Riley

It would appear to be slow with no visitors in Stillwater for the final weekend before Wednesday's signing day but remember the dead period has not started yet. The Oklahoma State coaching staff has gone in-home this past week with all the players on their commitment list. OSU's commitments appear to be all solid with roughly 36 hours to go before all coaches have to be back on campus.

The coaching staff, especially head coach Mike Gundy, has been active. We figure that Gundy has been in no fewer than 10 homes this past week. That would include one of the Cowboys three remaining targets in standout athlete William Cole of Cedar Hill, Texas. Gundy had already made an in-home visit with the other Dallas area prospect in Skyline HS safety Christian Scott. Cole and Scott will both announce on Sunday. Scott likely will be heard from first while Cole will be around 10 p.m. tomorrow.

A number of the OSU coaching staff, at least four or five of them, is on the road Saturday. We learned from airport sources that as many as five members of the staff flew out of Stillwater bound for Mississippi. We would guess they are making the trip to visit with prospect Co-Eric Riley, who is considered the top junior college wide receiver prospect, from Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C.

The 6-2, 200-pound Riley has an impressive bio. Mississippi State is the other school on Riley. He originally signed out of high school with Mississippi State and has had a standing soft commitment. The Bulldog coaching staff has already made its final face-to -ace visit.

Other than the road trip to Mississippi State all would appear to be quiet as the Cowboy coaching staff waits for some important Sunday decisions.
