Recruiting: Will It Be Super Sunday For OSU?

Two of the three remaining prospects that Oklahoma State is recruiting are expected to make their decisions public Sunday. A pair of Texans - William Cole of Cedar Hill and SuperPrep All-American safety Christian Scott of Dallas (Skyline) - are both believed to be making their decisions known publicly as to where they will play their college football.

Cole, the MVP of the Class 5A championship game won by Cole and his teammates, will announce Sunday night at approximately 10:20-10:30 p.m. on KDFW-TV Channel 4 (Fox) in Dallas. We will be monitoring that broadcast live over the phone and will have Cole's decision up as soon as he announces it.

We are not expecting any advance notice on Cole's decision as he has done about as well as any prospect we can remember at keeping his choice a secret. Even family members apparently don't know. We do know that Cole did something last week that we learned of that makes it a high probability that he will select Oklahoma State.

The third prospect still on the board for Oklahoma State is Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. and NJCAA Junior College All-American Co-Eric Riley. The 6-2, 200-pound wide receiver received a visit, the final one, from Oklahoma State coaches Saturday and his announcement is now expected to come on signing day Wednesday.

In some good news regarding Lufkin, Texas, wide receiver Dez Bryant, another Cowboy commitment. Bryant added another All-American award to his resume. Already a SuperPrep All-American and a participant in the Offense-Defense All-American Game in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Bryant was selected as a member of the prestigious Parade Magazine All-American Team, which was featured in newspapers across America on Sunday. Bryant had 53 receptions this past season for 1,207 yards and 21 touchdowns.
