"I have a new offer from Tulsa, and my three offers are Oklahoma State, Houston and Tulsa," said James." I've already been to Oklahoma State to see them and I'm going to Houston on the 31st of this month. Next month I am going to Arkansas and Oklahoma."
James was uncertain of his calendar for recruiting when we spoke to him last, but has a good idea now. "I'm going to take all my visits," he said.
So does that mean he will wait until late this year or early 2008 to commit? "I guess so," answered James.
His speed is also evident on the track where he is a state champion threat in the 100 meters, sprint relay, mile relay, and long jump. He told us he was really excited because his first meet of the season is this coming weekend in Atlanta, Texas.
On the football field his 4.28 speed in the 40-yard dash translates to 1,587 yards and 16 touchdowns rushing along with 426 yards and three touchdowns receiving last season. As a sophomore, splititng time, he rushed for 643 yards and 10 touchdowns.
James seems to really like recruiting so far and realizes he is a top target as a running back. We believe he may be on the top line for running backs for Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are using running backs coach Curtis Luper to recruit James.
