Recruiting: Texas WR May Visit Next Weekened

Jeffrey Fuller out of McKinney (Boyd), Texas, is one of the top wide receivers in Texas in the Class of 2008. At 6-4, 200 pounds, and with 4.5 speed, he fits the mold of what Oklahoma State is experiencing and succeeding with at that position with Adarius Bowman, and what they hope to with Lufkin's Dez Bryant coming in as a freshman this fall.

Fuller is a "wanted man" as he already has nine scholarship offers and that list will continue to grow. But in a conversation Sunday night he said he may be checking out Oklahoma State next weekend.

"Yes, I've been hearing from Oklahoma State and I may take an unofficial visit there next weekend (April 7)," said Fuller. "I've heard from just about everybody in the Big 12, except Texas."

Fuller said he has offers from Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Duke, Wisconsin, Baylor, Boston College, TCU, Utah and Colorado. He is also hearing frequently from schools like Ohio State, Notre Dame, LSU and Florida.

Last week Fuller was a standout at the Scout combine."I had a great time at the combine," said Fuller, who also competes for Boyd in track in the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 relays and sometimes competes in the triple jump. "There was great competition I went against there. I would call it a very good combine."

Fuller had 27 receptions for more than 400 yards and three touchdowns as a junior, and should be ready to explode this season. He is also an excellent student, which makes him even more attractive to the schools in recruiting.

Physically, besides his speed he has a bench press max of 245 and a squat max of 375. At the combine last Sunday at the Dallas Cowboys training facility he had a vertical of better than 32 inches and a standing broad jump of 9 feet, 7 inches.

Fuller is impressive on and off the field and well spoken. In other words, he is going to be a very good signee for the school fortunate enough to land him.
