Orange-White Game: Plenty Of Prospects

STILLWATER - We predicted that there would be approximately 30 juniors attend the special junior day hosted by the Oklahoma State football staff in conjunction with the Orange-White Game on Saturday, and we were close. In fact, we probably missed a few as we compiled a list of 28 high school junior prospects on hand to watch the Cowboys' final spring practice session.

Two of the Cowboys three early commitments for 2008 were at the game. Quarterback Kody Spano (6-3, 200, 4.7), of Stephenville, Texas, and defensive tackle Tony Gillespie (6-1, 290, 5.0), of Jenks, Okla., were both at Boone Pickens Stadium.

We are pretty sure that there were also a number of new Cowboys that will be freshmen this fall tin attendance. We saw Jonathan Rush, the standout offensive tackle from Killeen, Texas, and he brought several talented juniors with him. Rush has been mentioned as a potential Russell Okung-type freshman on the offensive line that might be able to play some as a first-year player.

We also saw Oklahoma City (Bishop McGuinness), Okla., basketball all-sater Michael Sosonya, a 6-6, 220-pound post, who plans to walk-on as a Cowboy football player. He is targeted to play either defensive end or tight end.

Listed below is a full list of the prospects that were in Stillwater on Saturday. These prospects have either been offered, have committed to OSU, or are strong possibilities to be offered.
