Curry to stay in NBA Draft, report says

JamesOn Curry has told Oklahoma State head coach Sean Sutton that he will not withdraw his name from the NBA Draft and expects to be selected in the second round by the Chicago Bulls, reports on indicated Sunday night. Curry would be one of only two returning seniors for the Cowboys during the 2007-08 season.

The 6-3 guard averaged 17.3 points and a team-best 3.7 assists for the Cowboys last season. He scored a career-high 40 points – the fifth-best in school history – against Baylor last March, and is ranked among the school's leaders in almost every three-point shooting category.

Curry, according to the report, is convinced that he will be selected with the 49th overall pick by the Bulls in next week's draft.

Curry could return to Oklahoma State even though he does not withdraw his name by Monday's deadline. If he does not get selected in the draft, and does not sign with an agent, then he cold return to OSU for his senior season. Randolph Morris returned to Kentucky two years ago when he went undrafted, although he had to miss the season's first 14 games because of his association with an agent.
