Recruiting: Moody Hopes To Start Visits Soon

Former USC standout running back Emmanuel Moody, who decided last week to transfer from Southern Cal, was not in Stillwater to check out Oklahoma State on Tuesday. But the former Coppell, Texas, All-Stater did return our call late Monday night.

Moody had been in California on Monday to finish picking up all of his stuff and return to Texas. Here is what he said during the phone call.

On his search for a new school to attend and play football: "I can tell you the four schools I am looking at are North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma State and Florida. Oklahoma State and Texas are close to home and I have thought about staying close. Florida, they're national contenders every year and that is something I'm used to. North Carolina, I've heard great things about them. Their coach (Butch Davis) was at Miami and had success there. I think I need to check it out."

On how soon he will start his visits: "I'd like to start tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm still trying to set those four schools up. I'm not sure (if he will start his visits at the schools that are closest Oklahoma State and Texas.)"

What is his major and how does that play into the decision: "I was majoring in Religion (at USC). I'll be looking to stay with that major and I think all four schools offer a religion major."

Moody told us that we should call him again on Wednesday or Thursday evening.
