Cowboys Lose David Washington

David Washington, who had started the last 27 games at center for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, suffered a broken tibia in his right leg during Friday night's loss to Troy, it is being reported by various media outlets in Oklahoma. The junior from Guthrie, Okla., is probably lost for the season.

The 6-3, 305-pound Washington had been a mainstay on the OSU offensive line since cracking the starting lineup as a redshirt freshman in 2005. He started all 11 games that season, was a starter in all 13 games during the Cowboys' 7-6 season in 2006, and had started the first three games of this season. He used his redshirt season in 2004.

Washington was replaced Friday night against Troy by sophomore Andrew Lewis, who moved to center after starting at the left guard position.
