Recruiting: Williams Gets A Lineman's Dream

Cowboy commitment Justin Williams lived out every defensive lineman's dream in South Grand Prairie's last game against South Garland. Williams forced a fumble on one of his many tackles for a loss and scopped it up himself and sprinted into the end zone for a touchdown.

"I'm playing pretty good," said Williams, who also had an ankle injury in the last game with the Colonels and is missing some practice this week during South Grand Prairie's open week. "That touchdown was a big deal, and I've had a lot of tackles, one sack, and a lot of tackles for losses."

Williams, who is also a champion power-lifter combines speed (4.7) with a 6-0, 270-pound frame. He said that South Grand Prairie has lost all three of their non-distrcit games so far but all against good teams in Plano West, Mansfield Summit (home of OSU kicker commitment Quinn Sharp), and South Garland.

"We play Trinity next, and I will be back at practice at the beginning or the middle of next week," added Williams. "I don't want to miss much practice, so I'm trying to get back as quick as I can."

Williams said his commitment is firm with Oklahoma State and he hopes to make it up to Stillwater for some games later in the season. This weekend he'll catch the Cowboys on TV while icing that ankle.
