Future Cowboys In Week Five

Each week throughout the season GoPokes.com will track the progress of the 18 high school football players who have verbally committed to sign with Oklahoma State next February. Here are the results for each of the players' teams from the fifth week of the high school season.

ISAIAH ANDERSON, WR (6-0, 175)
Wichita Falls (Texas) High Coyotes
Anderson had his the best game thus far of his senior season with five catches for 102 yards and three touchdowns as Wichita Falls defeated Denton 49-25 on Friday night. Anderson's first two receptions – 36 and 24 yards – went for touchdowns as the Coyotes built a 28-10 halftime lead. Anderson added another 24-yard scoring reception in the first minute of the second half to make it 35-10.

TIM BENFORD, DE (6-5, 230)
Jersey Village (Texas) High Falcons
Jersey Village forced three turnovers, and converted two of them into 14 points, en route to a 42-20 victory over Cy Springs in the District 17-5A opener Friday night. The win was the first of the season for the Falcons.

BRODERICK BROWN, CB (5-8, 165)
Westfield (Houston, Texas) High Mustangs
Westfield limited Tomball to 141 total yards and seven first downs in Friday night's 38-0 victory. The Mustangs are now 3-2 on the season.

DAJUAN DAVIS, OT (6-4, 295)
Crowley (Texas) High Eagles
Crowley defeated Alvarado 28-9 on Friday night in the District 8-4A opener for both team. The Eagles improved to 2-2 overall.

ALFRED DUPREE, LB (6-2, 210)
Skyline (Dallas, Texas) High Raiders
Dupree and the Skyline defense was outstanding – intercepting two passes, forcing a fumble, blocking a punt while holding Kimball to 73 total yards – as the Raiders defeated Kimball 13-7 on Thursday night. Skyline is now 3-1.

BRANDON GARRETT, OT (6-7, 290)
La Marque (Texas) High Cougars
In a battle of unbeatens, La Marque used several big plays – a fumble return for a touchdown and a blocked punt for a TD – to defeat Brazosport 24-13 in the District 23-4A opener Friday night. La Marque, the defending Class 4A state champions, improve to 5-0.

JEREMY GRAY, DE (6-6, 235)
Sherman (Texas) High Bearcats
Sherman lost 45-13 to Wichita Falls Rider on Friday night in the District 5-4A opener for both teams. Sherman, 2-3, has lost three in a row

JACKIE HINTON, WR (5-11, 185)
Channelview (Texas) High Falcons
Hinton rushed for 101 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown, but it wasn't enough as Port Arthur Memorial rallied for a 24-21 victory Friday night. Channelview is now 1-3.

Medina Valley (Texas) High Panthers
Medina Valley opened District 27-3A play with a 40-23 loss to Honda on Friday night.

JUSTIN HORTON, TE (6-4, 220)
Henderson (Texas) High Lions
Henderson defeated previously undefeated Pine Tree 21-14 on Friday night. The Lions are now 3-1.

VICTOR JONES, LB (6-1, 220)
Richland (North Richland Hills, Texas) High Rebels
Richland just gave the game to Colleyville Heritage on Friday night, turning the ball over five times (three interceptions and two fumbles) in a 17-7 loss as the Rebels saw their record fall to 2-2.

TRAVIS MILLER, RB (5-10, 180)
Marlin (Texas) High Bulldogs
Miller interecepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown as Marlin rolled to a 34-0 victory over Leon on Friday night. The Bulldogs improve to 2-2.

ADRIAN RICHARDS, WR (6-3, 190)
Mesquite (Texas) High Skeeters
Richards, who caught his first two touchdown passes of the season last week, had the game's only touchdown Saturday night as Mesquite defeated Midland Lee 10-0. Richards caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Mesquite quarterback Kelly Page in the second quarter.

QUINN SHARP, K (6-0, 180)
Summit (Arlington, Texas) High Jaguars
Sharp kicked six extra-point as Summit defeated crosstown rival Mansfield Timberview 42-28 Friday night. Summit improves to 3-1.

KODY SPANO, QB (6-2, 200)
Stephenville (Texas) High Yellow Jackets
Spano showed why he is considered one of the top quarterbacks in Texas on Friday night. Spano completed 12 of 21 passes for 198 yards as Stephenville defeated Aledo 31-28 in a matchup of Class 4A top-10 teams. Spano scored the game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard run late in the fourth quarter but the Yellow Jackets had to make a defensive stop in the game's final minute before celebrating the victory.

KYE STALEY, ATH (6-0, 200)
Guthrie (Okla.) High Blue Jays
The Blue Jays, now 5-0, took a 41-0 lead at the end of the first quarter en route to a 69-0 victory over Oklahoma City Southeast on Friday night. The Bluejays have shut out their last four opponents by a score of 257-0.

Arlington Martin (Texas) High Colts
Arlington Martin scored 31 or more points for the fourth consecutive game in Friday night's 31-0 victory over Arlington Sam Houston. The Colts improve to 4-0.

South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, Texas) High Warriors
South Grand Prairie's struggles continued Friday night in a 34-10 loss to Euless Trinity. The Warriors are now 0-4.
