Recruiting: 33 Prospects Attend OSU-KU Game

There were 33 prospects on hand at Oklahoma State's game with Kansas on Saturday night, including Guthrie, Okla., athlete and Cowboy commitment Kye Staley and one of his talented teammates, defensive back Israel Escoe.

Staley had two touchdowns (1 and 23 yards) and 74 yards rushing in Guthrie's 61-0 first-round playoff win over Ardmore on Friday. Two players in the state committed to Texas Tech, Westmoore defensive end Joey Fowler and Lawton Eisenhower running back Harrison Jeffers, also were in Stillwater on Saturday evening. Joining Fowler was Westmoore running back Craig Ralls, hero of the Jaguars' first-round 6A playoff win over Lawton on Thursday night. Ralls had 166 yards rushing and three touchdowns (83, 5, and 1 yards) in the 21-20 win.

Chandler Spence (6-4, 245, 4.7), a talented tight end from Arlington Lamar in Texas, was also at the game, as was Midwest City, Okla., running back Timothy Flanders. Just a junior, Flanders will be one of the top rated running back prospects in the country next year. Friday he had two touchdowns (13 and 1 yards) and 183 yards rushing in the Bombers' 35-28 win over Mustang. On the season Flanders has rushed for 1,413 yards with 19 touchdowns.

A number of junior college prospects were on hand, including five from Independence Community College in Kansas. Adrian Holliday is a 6-1, 185-pound speedster that runs a 4.4. He had 43 catches for 553 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also averaged 33.1 yards on 8 kickoff returns this season. Fred Leak is a 6-1, 215-pound linebacker or strong safety that had two interceptions including one returned for a touchdown. Emanual Linvingston is a defensive end from Independence.

Standout running back Nate Guillory of Coffeyville (Kan.) C.C. was also a visitor. The 5-10, 180-pound Guillory, originally from Houston, had 1,094 yards and 12 touchdowns on 188 carries this season. He averaged more than 121 yards a game. Also from Coffeyville was Sherdell Breathett, a 6-1, 215-pound linebacker and strong safety that had two interceptions this season and returned one of them 57 yards for a score.
