Recruiting: Miller Confirms His Visit

We knew that the trio of Butler County (Kans.) C.C. players were visiting Oklahoma State this weekend less than a week after winning the National Junior College championship over Snow Junior College. The trio is made up of running back Beau Johnson, cornerback Maurice Gray and defensive tackle Swanson Miller. The only member of the trio we had not talked with was the 6-4, 330-pound Miller.

"Yes, I am visiting Oklahoma State this weekend," said Miller after accepting congratulations on the title win over Snow. "It felt pretty good."

Miller is a man of few words and had to stop the conversation quickly when another call beeped in on his cell phone.

"Playing in the snow was okay," he added, saying it didn't bother him to play the game in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Little does seem to bother the St. Alachua, Fla., native. Going into the championship game he had 76 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 4 fumbles caused, and a fumble recovery.

Oddly enough, Miller will see a familiar face this weekend other than his two teammates. Snow Junior College offensive tackle Andrew Mitchell, a native of Choctaw, Okla., will also be making an official visit.
