Recruiting: Who's Visiting This Weekend?

Oklahoma State already has 27 verbal commitments with national signing date less than four weeks away. But that doesn't mean the Cowboys are done, and that's evident as Mike Gundy and his coaching staff are expecting 10 players to visit this weekend. Four of the 10 are prospects, and the other six are verbal commitments who have indicated they will sign with OSU on Feb. 6.

The Cowboys are hosting three junior college defensive standouts in J.R. Bryant of Garden City (Kans.) Community College, Patrick Trahan of Northwest Mississippi Community College, and Donald Booker of Navarro (Texas) College.

Booker, a first team junior college All-American linebacker, committed to the Cowboys in December but is just now making his official visit.

Bryant is a 6-1, 230-pounder linebacker, while Trahan is a 6-2, 205-pound safety prospect.

Other non-committed prospects scheduled to visit include high school standouts Zaviar Gooden of Pflugerville, Texas and Alonzo Whaley of Madisonville, Texas. Gooden is a 6-1, 205-pound safety who is being recruited by OSU, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa State. The 6-0, 220-pound Whaley is a linebacker who has narrowed his choices to OSU, Nebraska, Arizona State and Louisiana Tech.

Also expected to visit this weekend include five other players who have verbally committed to OSU. They are:
Dajuan Davis, a 6-4, 295-pound offensive lineman from Crowley, Texas.
Alfred Dupree, a 6-2, 215-pound linebacker from Dallas (Skyline), Texas.
Jeremy Gray, a 6-6, 235-pound defensive end from Sherman, Texas.
Justin Horton, a 6-4, 220-pound tight end from Henderson, Texas.
Lane Taylor, a 6-3, 300-pound offensive lineman from Arlington (Martin), Texas.
