Recruiting: Gooden Still Undecided

Zaviar Gooden of Pflugerville, Texas said he had another good visit this weekend as he tripped to Columbia, Mo., to check out the Tigers. Now a veteran of two official visits, including his trip to Oklahoma State last week, Gooden said he is still open and he may be needing to go on a diet soon. Gooden commented on the field at Oklahoma State last weekend and Missouri offered more of the same.

"It was crazy and I think I am going to need to go on a diet," said the 6-1, 200-pound speedster who said he had just returned home. "I think we ate something like six times a day."

The food wasn't the only good aspect of the trip to Missouri.

"It went good, real good," said Gooden. "I felt like I bonded with the players and coaches and they really seemed like a family there. have enjoyed both of my visits so far. I'm not sure what I think yet both of those schools are really good and I could see myself at both of them."

Gooden's itinerary continues for two more weeks. He missed taking any visits in December because of the success that Pflugerville had in the playoffs. That is a good thing but now he is cramming in all four visits that he has and plans to take in January and the first weekend in February. Oklahoma is next week and then Kansas gets the last go-round in two weeks.
