Recruiting: Brown All Set To Sign After Visit

Cornerback Brodrick Brown of Spring (Westfield), Texas, said he is ready to sign with the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Feb. 6, National Signing Day. Brown went through the final step of his recruiting process with the Cowboys this weekend when the longtime commitment took his official visit to Stillwater.

"It went good, was fine," said Brown of the visit. "It was about what I expected."

The 5-8, 170-pound speedster is considered by Texas Football Magazine to be one of the top 10 cornerback prospects in the state. He has been an interception machine that opposing quarterbacks have avoided as he was a first-team All-District 16-5A player the past two seasons and this year was selected by the district coaches as the Defensive MVP in 16-5A.

On his official visit he was hosted by wide receiver and former Spring Westfield standout DeMarcus Cooner.

"It was good to see him again," said Brown. "The food was good and we got to see the stadium and all the places they are building for football inside the stadium. The facilities are going to be the best."

Brown said he would be signing at the school in a ceremony on Feb. 6.
