10 Questions With Patrick Hoog

GoPokes.com recently caught up with several of the Oklahoma State signees to ask "10 Questions" designed to allow Cowboy fans an opportunity to get to know the players who will be signing next Wednesday. Here are the answers provided by offensive lineman Patrick Hoog of Castroville (Medina Valley), Texas.

1) What about Oklahoma State first caught your eye?
Hoog: They were the first school to offer me a scholarship.

2) What was your deciding factor in committing to the Cowboys?
Hoog: Because I'm majoring in engineering and it's got a really good engineering school.

3) What are three words that describe you as a person?
Hoog: Determined. Studious. Leader.

4) What are three words that describe you as a football player?
Hoog: Strong. Hardworking. Persistent.

5) What is your favorite thing to do on the field?
Hoog: Get a pancake block.

6) What is your favorite thing to do off the field?
Hoog: Read. I like to science fiction books.

7) If you don't go to the NFL, what profession would you like to enter?
Hoog: I think I'd like to go into the engineering field, maybe some type of engineering job with one of the big oil companies.

8) What are you most looking forward to in terms of playing at OSU?
Hoog: Just getting the experience of playing on football on the college level.

9) What do you feel will be your biggest challenge in moving from high school to college?
Hoog: Probably the level of intensity of the practices, workouts and everything involved with college football.

10) Who is the one player on Oklahoma State's roster or in your recruiting class that you are most looking forward to being teammates?
Hoog: I really don't know anyone on the team yet.
