Recruiting: Frazier Plays QB, But Much More

Quarterback Chris Frazier of Dallas (Skyline), Texas, educated us a lot more on his status and what he can do on the football field.

"I played quarterback but most people are considering me an athlete," said Frazier. "I also played wide receiver and some fullback. I thought I played best at quarterback, but I realize that I might be playing other positions in college."

The 6-2, 210-pound Frazier has 4.7 speed and ran quite a bit for the Raiders this past season when playing quarterback. He has a solid arm, but could be a strong fullback or even could wind up playing some linebacker on defense. He has a 235-pound bench press and a 400-pound max on the squat. He is also a baseball pitcher at Skyline.

"We've played eight games already and I've pitched several so far," said Frazier, who said he grew up an OU fan. "In recruiting I've heard from Minnesota, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor, and Nebraska.

"Yes, I've talked with Coach (Curtis) Luper at Oklahoma State because he has been here a lot recruiting Alfred (DuPree in the class of 08). I'm interested in Oklahoma State."

Frazier says he will major in Aviation or Aviation Engineering. He also knows how he will decide which school he will attend. Just before we spoke with him he had just come home from a junior day at North Texas which he said went well. He had a chance to talk with head coach Todd Dodge and said the facilities are getting better at UNT.

"It'll be me, my mother, and my grandmother and we will decide on the school based on the distance and what they can offer me with their academic programs," said Frazier.
