Sizing Up The Cowboys' Specialists

In the Spring issue of Go Pokes Magazine due out just before the April 12 Orange-White Spring Game we will list every current player on the Oklahoma State squad with an evaluation of where they stand heading into the summer and the start of fall camp. This will allow you to check out the players in the spring game and see if you agree with our assessment.

Below you will find a list of every Oklahoma State specialist player getting ready for the start of spring practice next Monday. Under each player's information is a pre-spring assessment or status on their situation prior to the 15 days of practice the NCAA allows head coach Mike Gundy and his staff.

Punters/Kickers (4)
19 Dan Bailey, K, 6-0, 205, So., Mustang (Southwest Covenant High School), Okla. /University of Arkansas
He took over last fall late in the season for Jason Ricks… Will be challenged in the fall by standout freshman Quinn Sharp, but could still kickoff.

18 Matt Fodge, P, 6-1, 195, Sr., Garland, Texas
Sitting on a huge season… Fodge understands he needs to be at his best in distance, hang time, and direction to get to NFL.

89 Grayson Buster, P/K, 6-0, 180, RFr., Crawford, Texas
Very solid kicker that Joe DeForest believes could help if needed.

45 Patrick Kollars, P/K, 6-0, 200, Jr., Vinita , Okla.
Big kicker with good leg strength.

Deep Snappers (2)
55 Zach Allen, 6-1, 260, Sr., Edmond (Edmond Memorial High School), Okla.
Held good on promise of no bad snaps after miscue vs. Georgia … Looking to be first four-year starter as snapper at OSU.

69 Marc Yerry, 6-4, 200, RFr., Waxhaw (Weddington High School), N.C.
Improved during his redshirt season and will look to press Allen for job this spring.
