Recruiting: Lowe Up To 13 Offers

Defensive back Daytawion Lowe of Midwest City (Carl Albert), Okla., was well aware that something was going on Tuesday when standout offensive lineman Brandon Webb of Owasso, Okla., committed to Oklahoma State. "Jeremy Smith (Tulsa Union running back) called me and I was getting e-mails," said Lowe. "It's crazy how those things get around so fast."

Lowe is working out this summer in preparation for his senior season and working on some FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athlete) projects. You can't go over to Carl Albert without having his coaches brag about what a great player he is, but also about what an important team leader and solid member of the Titan family he is. I would say I've had as many compliments expressed on Lowe as any player I can remember.

The colleges love him too as the offers have been steady and he reports three more since we last heard from him. Three Big 12 North schools have put in their pitch in Colorado, Iowa State, and Nebraska. He has been around some this summer and will continue checking things out.

"I was in Stillwater last week for the photo session with Tom Lemming (recruiting magazine) and I am going back this Sunday for the (Oklahoma State prospect) camp," said Lowe. "I am going to take some visits, not for camps, but unofficial visits to some schools close by like Kansas, Kansas State, and Texas Tech. I would like to get (recruiting) finished up by the end of the summer."

Lowe didin't name any favorites, but he has been to Oklahoma State several times and does keep in regular contact with Jeremy Smith and his recruiting coach at OSU in Joe DeForest. He is close to his mom, so it would be hard to envision Lowe going too far away to college.
