Recruiting: Allen To Visit OSU Wednesday

Standout quarterback Drew Allen of San Antonio (Alamo Heights), Texas is set to make an unofficial visit to Oklahoma State on Wednesday, July 9. It is believed that Allen is one of if not the top quarterback prospect on the Cowboys list as of right now.

Allen, who is 6-5 1/2 and 200 pounds, has offers from Mississippi, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Wake Forest, and others including Oklahoma State. He has made it to a lot of schools and has been the standout of the Nike and Scout Under Armour combines as well as the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp on the TCU campus. It is speculated that he is making a stop at Purdue on this same trip that includes Stillwater.

Drew Allen was impressive in front of the OSU coaches last month at the Mary Hardin-Baylor camp in Belton, Texas. Allen threw for 2,589 yards and 28 touchdowns last season at San Antonio (Alamo Heights) and ran for another 254 yards and five scores.
