Cowboy Practice Notes: Aug. 7

After missing the first week because of a hangup with paperwork in the NCAA Clearinghouse, freshman tight end Justin Horton is eligible and is on his way back to Stillwater to rejoin the Oklahoma State Cowboys team.

The 6-4, 220-pound Horton is from Henderson, Texas, and is considered an excellent prospect. An All-District pick as a senior he has 32 receptions last season for 438 yards and five touchdowns. He will join fellow freshmen tight ends Jamal Mosley and Cooper Bassett.

Gundy Sees No Difference in Woods
In the last few days before practice was closed down it seemed that Artrell Woods was really starting to get more comfortable in his return to full contact football. The victim of a weight room accident just over a year ago, Woods recovery has been a well documented miracle and a real inspiration in what hard work, determination, and prayer can accomplish.

Now in camp, Woods who is back to 4.5 speed, is going full speed and taking hits in practice.

"He hasn't missed a beat," said head coach Mike Gundy of Woods. "He gets knocked down and gets right back up. I've kind of watched him and I haven't noticed a difference."
