Travis Ford Era Tips Off Nov. 14

Oklahoma State's men's basketball team will play 14 games on national television during the 2008-09 season, including a first-round matchup against Gonzaga on Thanksgiving Day in the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla. The Cowboys will play their first regular season game under new head coach Travis Ford on Friday, Nov. 14, against Texas-San Antonio at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Other non-conference home games at Gallagher-Iba Arena include North Texas (Nov. 17), Tulsa (Nov. 20), Grambling State (Nov. 23), Mercer (Dec. 17), Arkansas State (Dec. 29), Northwestern State (Jan. 3) and Savannah State (Jan. 6).

The Cowboys will face the University of Tulsa for the first time since Nov. 22, 1996.

OSU opens Big 12 Conference play against Texas A&M inside Gallagher-Iba Arena on Saturday, Jan. 10. The annual Bedlam contest at GIA against instate rival Oklahoma is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN's Big Monday on Jan. 26. The Cowboys are scheduled to conclude the regular season schedule by traveling to Norman to face the Sooners on Saturday, March 7, to be televised by ABC.

Other national broadcasts include all three games of the Old Spice Classic in Orlando (either on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU). The field includes Georgetown, Maryland, Michigan State, Siena, Tennessee and Wichita State.

Also, nationally televised games will be Dec. 4 against Washington in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series (Fox Sports); against Rhode Island on Dec. 20 in the O'Reilly All-College Classic (ESPN); vs. Texas A&M, Jan. 10 (ESPNU); vs. Oklahoma, Jan. 26 (ESPN); at Texas A&M, Jan. 31 (ESPN): vs. Texas Tech, Feb. 4 (ESPNU); at Kansas, Feb. 7 (ABC); at Texas Tech, Feb. 18 (ESPN2); vs. Texas, Feb. 28 (ESPN); vs. Kansas State, March 3 (ESPN2), and at OU, March 7 (ABC).

The Cowboy Sports Network is also scheduled to telecast five games statewide.
