Recruiting: Lowe Focused On Season

Defensive back and standout athlete Daytawion Lowe of Midwest City (Carl Albert), Okla., is feeling a lot better about things these days. Lowe, who also plays some on offense as a wide receiver, is one of the premier defensive back prospects in Oklahoma and in the Midlands.

He is a Super Prep All-American and last Friday put a stamp on his résumé with a 39-yard interception return for a touchdown in igniting a big win over the Duncan Demons. Carl Albert has righted the ship after an upset loss on the road in week one at Tulsa Washington.

"Yes sir," said Daytawion Lowe in confirming that his team has improved. "It was just a matter of minimizing mistakes. I was real excited to get the touchdown return and it was a big play for my team. I did see Coach Gundy (Oklahoma State head coach was there) and that was definitely an honor."

This week the 6-1, 190-pound Lowe and his Titans teammates will take on Capitol Hill on Thursday in Oklahoma City at Speegle Stadium. That is a game you had better be there for the start of as it could get out of hand in a hurry. Carl Albert is a state championship contender and Capitol Hill is an inter-city school that has struggled. Either way, Lowe is respectful of his opposition.

"I'm really focused on my season right now," he added also referring to recruiting activity. "It's the same schools, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Pitt, and Stanford."

Lowe said he had intended to visit Stillwater for the game against Missouri State but the time change that day due to the weather cost him.

"I am going to make it up there," said Lowe. "I'll be up there sometime soon."
